A Stay with a Local Family

Enjoy the comforts of the world-renowned Sri Lankan hospitality with a local family, sharing traditionally cooked meals, haggling at the local marketplace, and experiencing a life removed from the worries of the world.

A caring and loving middle-class family will be selected for a small group of 2-3 members. Separate rooms and bathroom facilities will be provided. However, maintaining family standards and embracing their values and culture is a mandatory expectation. See how they share homecooked meals, how the children play and enjoy free from video games and the internet, and how they live peacefully with love filled hearts, free of the worries of the world. This is part of an intercultural program conducted by Hareedra with the hopes of bringing Sri Lankan life to the world so we may learn from one another and strive for a peaceful and healthy life.
